Faux Stone Fireplace Surround and Hearth

One of the most popular projects that our customers complete with our faux stone is a DIY fireplace surround. The fireplace is often the centerpiece of the living room, so a project that draws the eye straight to it is an excellent addition to any home. GenStone customer Keith Kunkel wanted to remodel his fireplace surround and give it an elevated hearth and selected our Desert Sunrise Stacked Stone panels for the job. Keith surrounded the fireplace with the stone, then built an elevated hearth for it, covering the sides of that in the stone too. The hearthstone itself is a tile that blends beautifully with the Desert Sunrise. Keith also added a new cage around the fireplace and finished it all off with a wooden mantel. As you can see in the before and after photos, the fireplace surround and hearth were completely transformed.
