Getting the look of a masonry fireplace has never been easier. Follow our step by step install guide and video to learn how to create the frame for your fireplace using minimal materials from your local hardware store and how to install both the electric fireplace and GenStone surround. The fireplace as shown can be installed in just a few hours and like all GenStone products, this kit requires no special carpentry skills.
The 40″ Shaffer electric fireplace features interchangeable wood and crystal inserts as well as 3 flame settings. This fireplace can run with a flame and heat or with heat and no flames or flames only with no heat, making it a perfect addition to any home in any climate. This unit will heats up to 400 square feet (5,000 BTUs) and can be plugged in or hardwired 120V.
GenStone versatile electric fireplaces offers two installation options. Although it is essentially designed for insertion in your wall, it can also be mounted on your wall. Instructions for mounting and install come with the fireplace, and we recommend you follow the simple instructions provided. We recommend placing your fireplace at least 20″ below your ceiling or 8″ below your mounted flat screen TV because of its heating feature.
