Accent walls are a great way to bring some extra life to a room. Bigger is often better when it comes to these projects, and this GenStone customer did it right, covering the wall above their kitchen cabinets and framing the door to their utility room with our Kenai Stacked Stone product. The wall stands out and draws the eye upward, bringing life to what is often an empty space in many kitchens; this customer has received many compliments on the faux stone accent wall from guests.
While painting a kitchen accent wall and filling it with art, shelving, or other interesting finds is certainly an option, a stone wall will almost always make a greater impact on the look and feel of a space. Many in the DIY community shy away from a stacked stone wall like this DIY wall because of the expense and because most weekend warriors lack masonry skills. This stacked stone accent wall is arguably as easy to accomplish as using paint to create an accent wall. Each panel is extremely lightweight, can be cut to size with an ordinary table saw, and attached with screws. Josh was impressed by the time and installation savings from using GenStone.
GenStone’s faux stone panels are an excellent addition to any DIY project. Our lightweight panels are easy to install and cast from natural stone, ensuring an authentic look and feel.
