DIY Faux Stone Accent Column Project

While there is a great feeling of accomplishment when you complete a large DIY project, sometimes the little ones can make the biggest difference. GenStone customer Wanda had a column in her home separating two parts of a room that she decided needed a facelift. Wanda selected our Northern Slate Stacked Stone Column panels for this DIY accent project. As you can see in the before and after photos, the column was completely transformed. The blue and cream tones in the stone tie together the cream and blue walls on either side of it, giving the room a feel of continuity.

Interior columns are a feature that is often ignored when homeowners think of updating their interior, but when done right, these functional pieces can be transformed into aesthetic assets. One significant benefit to using GenStone’s Column panels is that they are designed to screw right into the existing column, so you can easily complete a DIY accent project like this in a single weekend.

Why GenStone

GenStone’s faux stone column panels are an excellent addition to any interior or exterior project. Our lightweight panels are easy to install and cast from natural stone, ensuring an authentic look and feel.
