Brent wrapped the exterior chimney chase on his two-story home in GenStone Iron Ore stacked stone. The stone runs the full height of the chase, from ground level up past the roofline, and turns both outside corners for a solid masonry look.
Iron Ore’s dark charcoal ledgestone stands out against the cream vertical siding and tie in with the black fascia, gutters, and trim. The chimney now reads as the focal point of that side of the house.
A stone veneer chimney gives a framed chase real stone character without the weight or cost of masonry. GenStone panels install with basic tools and no mortar.
Why GenStone
GenStone makes tall chimney wraps manageable with lightweight, durable panels and a 25-year warranty, so you can finish a chase without footings or a mason.
GenStone panels can wrap a framed exterior chimney chase over sheathing. They go on the outside of the chase, not on hot flue or firebox surfaces, so follow your fireplace or stove maker’s clearance rules. Use matching corner pieces on the outside edges, and seal cut edges with the color-matched paint kit.
