DIY Basement Wall Remodel
Accent walls are a great way to bring some extra life to a room. Bigger is often better when it comes to these projects, and GenStone customer Woody did it right, covering an entire wall in his basement with our Keystone Stacked Stone panels. Woody did this as part of a larger basement remodel project, finishing the walls and ceiling, adding flooring, and painting the other walls in the room. As you can see in the before and after photos, this project was transformational.
While painting a basement wall is certainly an option, a stone wall will almost always make a greater impact on the look and feel of a space. Many in the DIY community shy away from a stacked stone wall like this basement wall because of the expense and because most weekend warriors lack masonry skills. This stacked stone accent wall is arguably as easy to accomplish as using paint; it only took Woody one day to install his DIY basement wall!
